The White House has released a comprehensive report detailing President Trump’s recent physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The report provides insights into his overall health condition.
President Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean P. Barbabella, authored the report. It highlights the president’s excellent health, emphasizing his strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical functions. At 79, President Trump underwent various tests, including an echocardiogram. This ultrasound of the heart was conducted due to previous cardiovascular concerns and a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency in the past year.
The report also discusses the president’s management of high cholesterol. He takes Crestor and Zetia to lower his LDL cholesterol levels. Additionally, he consumes a high daily dose of aspirin to mitigate the risk of heart attacks and strokes. This decision goes against some medical guidelines and his doctors’ recommendations to reduce the dosage.
Neurological assessments included the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA). This exam screens for dementia and other conditions such as Alzheimer’s. As in previous assessments, President Trump achieved a perfect score of 30 out of 30.
Weight gain was noted in the report, with the president gaining 14 pounds since April 2025, bringing his weight to 238 pounds. This places him near the clinical obesity threshold. Despite joking about the use of obesity drugs, President Trump mentioned he has not taken them.
