The Buffalo Bills displayed a strong offensive performance in Week 2, securing a 41-31 victory against the Detroit Lions on ‘Thursday Night Football.’ However, the game was marked by an injury to a key player that could impact upcoming matches.
Wide receiver DJ Moore experienced a shoulder injury while attempting a touchdown catch during the second quarter. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Moore was ruled out due to this injury. His stats for the night included no receptions and one rushing attempt resulting in a loss of one yard.
DJ Moore showed his talent in Week 1, making five receptions for 100 yards and scoring a touchdown in the Bills’ 36-21 triumph over the Houston Texans. The Bills acquired Moore from the Chicago Bears, in exchange for a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick during the offseason.
After the win, Bills’ head coach Joe Brady expressed confidence in Moore’s capabilities. “There’s a reason we brought him here—his ability to make plays down the field,” Brady remarked. “He added a lot to the team in the game against Houston, and his impact goes beyond the stats.” Brady pointed out Moore’s potential, saying that quarterback Josh Allen trusts him, and his presence will continue to benefit the team.
In Moore’s absence, Allen shifted focus to Dalton Kincaid, who led the team in receiving stats with seven receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. Keon Coleman also performed well, with six receptions totaling 63 yards, while Joshua Palmer achieved a 43-yard touchdown.
