Dallas Cowboys Secure Victory Over Washington Commanders

The Dallas Cowboys achieved a significant NFC East victory against the Washington Commanders on Sunday with a score of 37-20. However, the game turned out to be eventful for Cowboys cornerback Cobie Durant.

During the second quarter, Durant was defending Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the end zone when Jayden Daniels launched a pass over McLaurin’s head. While attempting to make a play, Durant fell and landed flat on his chest.

As he lay on the ground, Cowboys safety Markquese Bell inadvertently stepped on Durant’s lower body, adding to his discomfort. Durant remained on the field momentarily before trainers assisted him. Unfortunately, he did not return to the game.

Earlier this year, Durant joined the Cowboys on a one-year contract worth $4 million after spending four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. During his time with the Rams, he recorded 141 tackles and seven interceptions in 61 games. In their previous match against the New York Giants, Durant contributed one tackle and a pass deflection.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys defense restricted the Commanders to 10 points in the second half. Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow, and Dallas forced a fumble on Dyami Brown, marking the sole turnover of the game. As a result, the Cowboys improved their season record to 1-1, while the Commanders fell to 0-2.
