Shooting at Tucson Gay Bar Investigated as Hate Crime

A shooting incident at a gay bar in Tucson, Arizona, is under investigation as a hate crime. Authorities discovered the suspect carried a note listing several LGBTQIA+ associated businesses.

The suspect, Ousman Ceesay, 44, was involved in the incident shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Monday. He shot two individuals in the parking lot of Venture-N, as stated by the Tucson Police Department.

Responding officers found three men, all suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims, Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, 42, and Cameron Davis Capara, 33, died at the scene.

Ceesay was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Preliminary evidence indicates that Ceesay confronted the victims in the parking area before the shooting occurred.

The Tucson Police have assured there is no current threat to the community. However, they have increased police presence around other LGBTQIA+ businesses in the locality.
