Michelle Monaghan is embracing another journey in Indonesia. The 50-year-old actress shared a series of vacation photos, showcasing a colorful string bikini while enjoying the clear, blue waters.
In the Instagram photos, Monaghan stands thigh-deep in the sea with arms outstretched, tongue out, and wearing a multicolored triangle bikini. Her ensemble includes tie-side bottoms, gold accents, and an oversized woven sun hat. A quiet shoreline and rolling hills form the backdrop. She captioned, “Brb maxxed out 🇮🇩.”
Another image depicts Monaghan in a relaxed pose under the sun, her wide-brimmed hat shadowing her face. Her wet hair hangs beneath the hat while the rocky coastline is visible in the background.
In another shot, Monaghan gazes down at the water with arms resting in front of her. In other photos, she raises her arms overhead, celebrating with a cup in hand as a distant boat floats on the sea.
Fans praised her photos, with comments like “You look incredible” and “Enjoy Indonesia, Michelle!” The trip marks her second visit to the country, discussed during “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Monaghan shared her love for adventure, stating, “We love a big adventure, and we went to Indonesia. It’s an incredible country.”
Monaghan initially traveled to Indonesia for surfing before her movie, “The Whisper Man,” with Robert De Niro. She learned about the Komodo dragons from De Niro and decided to return to visit Komodo National Park.
Monaghan has been open about staying active at this stage in life. In a May 2026 interview with Fox News Digital, she reflected on turning 50, saying her health approach has significantly evolved.
“Turning 50 has been amazing,” she shared. She emphasized intentional living, spending time wisely, and focusing on health and fitness.
Monaghan feels physically stronger now than in her 30s. She said strength training is crucial during midlife, along with attention to muscles and bones.
Her routine involves strength training three times weekly, complemented by walking, hiking, jogging, and Pilates. “I really try to do strength training three times a week. I do a 6 a.m. class,” she said.
Monaghan balances her workouts with low-impact activities, stating, “I also really love Pilates. It’s a lot about flexibility and incorporates the breath.”
