Exclusive information from a State Department memo highlights concerns about an international technology collective. This group, under U.S. terrorism designation, has been linked to providing services to overseas terrorist factions and violent far-left activists causing unrest in American cities.
“Far-left terrorism represents a noteworthy threat to the United States and the broader West,” remarked Secretary of State Marco Rubio in a statement. “The nation has sanctioned Autistici/Inventati, a notable far-left tech collective, for its role in supporting Antifa cells globally.”
The Autistici/Inventati group, referred to as the A/I Collective, operates out of Italy. It constructs advanced digital infrastructure for violent left-wing groups in both the United States and Europe, as well as Islamic terrorists. The services provided include encrypted chats, secure emails, web hosting, video conferencing, streaming services, and tools for anonymity.
“These tools are created to bolster far-left terrorist networks,” the State Department memo states. “They enable organization, recruitment, and communication while remaining untraceable.”
With its designation as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist group, U.S. citizens and financial institutions are prohibited from conducting business with A/I Collective, and any assets it holds in U.S. territory are frozen. Violations carry civil or criminal consequences.
The memo identifies Rose City Antifa in Portland, known for its violent behavior, as a U.S. group utilizing A/I Collective resources. Former Marine sentenced for ICE facility ambush as “an assault on democracy” also mentions this connection.
Also noted is the involvement of Jane’s Revenge, a militant pro-abortion group, utilizing the collective’s services for attacks on pro-life establishments.
The memo continues to elaborate on the role of the collective in facilitating violent events. Rose City Antifa was found using A/I Collective’s tools for organizing and inciting violence, including activities against U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopters.
Additional examples in the memo include publications of communiqués and calls to action via A/I Collective services by far-left extremist media outlets.
Such extremist groups have used A/I Collective for illegal activities, including attacks on infrastructure, incitements of violence, and dissemination of personal information targeting law enforcement personnel, notably ICE agents.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated, “Far-left extremists should be aware that financial tools will be used against them.” Abroad, far-left groups in Europe have also engaged in terrorist activities with support from A/I Collective.
The memo states anarchists used these tools to sabotage infrastructure like the Transalpine Pipeline, and the far-left Vulkangruppe disrupted German power supplies.
In a 2025 executive order, President Donald Trump declared Antifa a terrorist group.
Fox News Digital sought comments from A/I Collective, Rose City Antifa, and Jane’s Revenge for this report.
