In a related incident, Linda Blair has spoken out following a surprise inspection at her Southern California property. Authorities visited as part of an investigation into a reported kennel operation housing over 100 dogs.

The 67-year-old, known for her role in “The Exorcist,” reported that both she and the animals are in good condition after the unexpected visit. Los Angeles County officials had executed an inspection warrant as part of a joint operation between the Department of Animal Care and Control and the Department of Regional Planning. The aim was to assess the animals’ welfare and verify property compliance with local regulations.

“Checking in, I’m good. The animals are good in lieu of our surprise visit in 105° heat!” Blair noted in an Instagram post dated July 31.

The search was a result of an investigation into a property associated with a kennel operation reportedly housing more than 100 dogs. Authorities claimed the kennel permits had expired in 2023, with attempts to contact the property owner going unanswered.

The inspection was to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals and the people on-site. Blair clarified that the investigation was a mix-up over paperwork, and she plans to relocate her rescue operation to expand her educational efforts.

The investigation is ongoing, and officials have not disclosed further details but emphasize ensuring legal and humane care standards are met in kennel operations.

In a video accompanying her Instagram post, Blair reiterated the visit’s focus on administrative issues rather than animal welfare concerns.

“There’s nothing but some paperwork and some new diagrams that need attention,” she stated.

Blair encouraged supporters to contribute to her Worldheart Foundation, a nonprofit she established in 2003 to rescue and rehabilitate abused and neglected animals.

No animals were removed during the inspection, and Blair assures that both she and the animals remain fine following the visit.
