Country music star Carly Pearce has made it clear that she does not intend to have children. Responding to a fan on TikTok, Pearce explained her stance on children and marriage. Previously married to singer Michael Ray for a year before their divorce in 2020, Pearce expressed her feelings on the matter.

Pearce, aged 36, addressed her fans directly, “I love children and have a great relationship with my friends’ kids and as an aunt. However, having children was never a personal dream.” She expanded on her aspiration to focus on her career in country music and life on the road.

“I think we should normalize people that truly know they don’t want to have kids. I don’t think it should be for everyone just because society tells us to,” Pearce stated. “I don’t want children and I’m totally okay with that.”

Addressing the question about remarriage, Pearce expressed her desire to marry again. She emphasized that her previous marriage would not deter her from future commitment. “So what if I was divorced? It was my start-up marriage and now I get to have the real one,” she said.

Pearce and Ray’s relationship began in 2018 after she reached out to him on social media. They were engaged by December 2018 and married in October 2019 in Nashville. However, the marriage ended less than a year later, with the divorce filed and finalized in 2020.

Supporting Pearce’s decision, fans left positive comments on her TikTok video. Many applauded her openness and honesty, encouraging her to live according to her values and ideals.

Since her divorce, Pearce has been in a relationship with Jordan Karcher, an entrepreneur and founder of Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. The couple officially acknowledged their relationship on Instagram in July 2025.
