At the rally, Trump stated that more money is being invested in the United States and that Americans are working in greater numbers than ever before. The man, dressed in a black suit with a white shirt and pink tie, was seen copying Trump’s speech and movements. He frequently applauded, recorded footage on his phone, and conversed with another attendee. At one moment, he displayed a placard that read ‘Trump Accounts.’ It remains uncertain if the man is a supporter of Trump.
President Trump visited Georgia, a key battleground state, to promote the ‘Trump Accounts’ initiative and support Republican Representative Mike Collins in his senatorial campaign. The event highlighted a newly introduced investment program, which aims to create tax-advantaged accounts for children under 18. Starting from 2025 to 2028, each child born will receive an initial federal contribution of $1,000.
During the rally, Trump endorsed Collins, praising him as a highly respected Congress member. He criticized Collins’ Democratic opponent, Senator Jon Ossoff, urging the audience to support Collins. Trump jokingly referred to Ossoff as Pee-wee Herman and emphasized Collins’ potential to bring progress to the state. Collins was not present due to congressional duties in Washington.
Several officials spoke ahead of Trump, advocating for the Trump Accounts initiative. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent labeled the program as a capitalist triumph, while Education Secretary Linda McMahon voiced that it restores pathways to the American dream.
Additionally, Rick Jackson, a Republican gubernatorial candidate in Georgia, committed to requesting state legislature support to match the Trump Accounts’ $1,000 contribution. Jackson pledged to personally contribute if lawmakers refuse.
