Platner resides in Sullivan, Maine, in a light-blue Greek Revival farmhouse. Despite the gravity of the allegations, Platner continues to hold discussions with his advisers inside his home, considering his next steps. He won the nomination last month, but recent developments have led top Democrats and progressive allies in Washington to urge him to end his campaign. Platner has until Monday to make his decision under state law.

Devon Murphy-Anderson, the party’s executive director, expressed dissatisfaction with Platner’s attempt to sway the nominating process.
