Lee Greenwood Relaunches Soldier Valley Spirits to Support Veterans

In celebration of America’s upcoming 250th birthday, Lee Greenwood, the Grammy Award-winning country music star known for ‘God Bless the USA,’ has relaunched his Soldier Valley Spirits collection after the previous distillery shut down in 2024. The brand has a charity focus, supporting veterans and first responders.

Greenwood expressed enthusiasm for the relaunch during an interview, highlighting that Soldier Valley Spirits has operated as a charity since its inception. A portion of each sale supports organizations like Helping a Hero, the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, and Folds of Honor.

The spirits lineup includes whiskey, bourbon, and vodka. The ‘America’s 250th Birthday Collection’ offers all three in commemorative World War II canteen-shaped bottles, designed by a former Army sergeant. This design underscores the brand’s mission to assist military heroes and their families, emphasizing faith, family, and service.

Greenwood noted that these spirits are suitable for weddings, sporting events, or as an after-dinner drink in bars or casinos. He further mentioned their availability in numerous stores and online, accessible for shipping across most states.

The relaunch is part of a series of events Greenwood leads in honor of America’s 250th anniversary. His involvement began with the Great American State Fair, where he performed and introduced President Donald Trump at the Freedom 250 celebration.

Greenwood’s career showcases his dedication to those serving in the military. He has received the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s National Patriot Award and entertained troops through more than 30 USO tours. His contributions extend to serving on the National Endowment for the Arts council and the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees.

Reflecting on his long-standing career, Greenwood shared a statement about his ongoing work honoring service members. His collaboration with Bob Hope on USO tours, including eight shows across the globe, highlighted his respect for Hope’s Vietnam era contributions.

‘God Bless the USA,’ released in 1984, reached high chart positions during critical historical moments. The iconic song registered significant sales peaks during the Gulf War and post-9/11, as well as a resurgence during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Greenwood revealed his initial uncertainty about releasing the song, noting its monumental fit in his performances. The recording later appeared on the ‘American Patriot’ album, issued in 1992. Looking forward, Greenwood is set to receive the 2026 All-American Icon Award and perform during the Countdown 250 Ball in Washington, D.C.
