The Broken Arrow Fire Department in Oklahoma responded to a fire at a fireworks stand on Saturday night. According to their report, the scene was active with fireworks exploding when they arrived.
In a post on Facebook, the department described the incident. They received a call around 8:50 p.m. regarding a fire near E. Kenosha St. and S. 236th E. Ave. The post illustrated the challenges they faced, stating, “Upon arrival, BAFD Engine 4 found a fireworks stand on fire with fireworks actively detonating.”
“Fireworks actively detonating” at the scene were mentioned in their Facebook post.
As additional crews joined, A-Shift firefighters acted promptly. They managed to control the situation and extinguish the blaze within 20 minutes. Importantly, there were no injuries reported during the incident.
This event took place just two weeks before July 4, a period when many across the U.S. engage in fireworks displays to celebrate Independence Day.
