Chicago Bears’ Potential Move to Indiana Raises Concerns Among Fans

The Chicago Bears have taken a significant step toward relocating to Indiana, causing apprehension among their fan base. Recent discussions about moving the team out of Illinois have sparked worry and confusion.

Tony D’Angelo, WWE NXT champion and a long-time Bears fan from Oak Park, Illinois, shared his feelings with Fox News Digital. He expressed his disappointment, stating, ‘I don’t know what to say, other than, what the F? I mean, I don’t get it.’ D’Angelo emphasized the historical significance of the Bears franchise, noting their longstanding association with Chicago.

The move to Hammond, Indiana seems illogical to D’Angelo. In his words, The Indiana Bears? That is just horrible. It doesn’t sound right.

Bears executives, however, highlighted the potential benefits of establishing a world-class stadium in Hammond. They believe it would enhance regional connectivity, linking Northwestern Indiana and the South Side of Chicago.

Despite his frustrations, D’Angelo remains optimistic about the team’s prospects. He feels the 2026 season will be pivotal under quarterback Caleb Williams and head coach Ben Johnson. D’Angelo remarked on the team’s impressive past performances, citing their resilience and heart during recent games.

In 2025, the Bears surprised fans with unexpected victories. D’Angelo mentioned their seven or eight wins achieved in final moments, showcasing their determination. He praised Williams for his mature gameplay and Johnson for effective coaching.

Looking ahead, D’Angelo hopes this season will solidify the team’s success, reducing skepticism among fans who have seen fluctuating results.

Beyond football, D’Angelo has his own battles. He is set to defend the NXT Championship against Naraku at The Great American Bash, airing next weekend on the CW Network.
