Rod Stewart Postpones Concerts Due to Vocal Health Issues

Rod Stewart has postponed more concerts as per his doctor’s advice to allow his voice to recover from vocal problems. Stewart’s concerts on June 15 and 16 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, are rescheduled to September 2 and 3, 2027. The venue shared the update via their social media channels.

The announcement stated, “Following examinations at Colorado Voice Clinic this afternoon, Dr. David Opperman has prescribed vocal rest for Rod Stewart.” This decision came after an evaluation showed significant inflammation and strain of the vocal cords, which makes performing unsafe without risking further injury and potential long-term damage to his singing ability.

The message also indicated, “Rod is deeply disappointed and sincerely apologizes to his fans for this inconvenience. He eagerly anticipates returning to the stage once he is medically cleared.”

While it is clear that performing is unsafe if he is unable to sing, some fans expressed dissatisfaction with the timing of the announcement so close to showtime. One fan commented, “Why wait an hour before the show? Bartenders and other staff had been called off hours ago? Unacceptable,” on social media platform X.

Rod Stewart has had cancellations in the past. On April 12, he called off a show in San Diego due to an acute upper respiratory infection that resulted in laryngitis.

Stewart’s next concert is planned for June 19 in West Valley City, Utah. At present, this concert is expected to proceed, but ticket holders should stay informed about any changes. It’s hoped his voice will be fully healed, enabling him to return to the stage.
