Spencer Pratt Concedes but Vows to Continue Criticism of Political Opponents

Spencer Pratt, a former reality TV star and Republican candidate, has conceded the Los Angeles mayoral race. In a recent social media video, he stated that his campaign to improve the city is ending, but his criticism of the political system is not.

Pratt finished third in the primary election, garnering about 25% of the vote. Mayor Karen Bass and Councilwoman Nithya Raman, both Democrats, will move forward to the runoff in November. This result was reported by The Associated Press.

President Trump previously claimed Pratt’s loss as evidence of election fraud, though he provided no proof. He expressed confusion over Pratt’s initial second-place position on election night and his eventual third-place finish. California’s lengthy ballot counting process, particularly due to a surge in mail ballots, contributed to the delay.

Despite Trump’s assertions, Pratt, in his video, did not indicate any intention to contest the election results. Instead, he seems determined to continue his verbal attacks on Bass and Raman, whom he disparagingly referred to with negative terms. His video, lasting over three minutes, included an array of insults, alarming visuals, and a jarring soundtrack.

Pratt declared, “I didn’t enter this for political influence. My aim was to challenge what I perceive as a corrupt system, and that objective remains.” With the campaign over, he feels unrestrained by election rules and proclaims it “war.”
