FBI Collaborates with UFC for Unique White House Event

The FBI underwent a remarkable transformation in preparation for one of the most distinctive sporting events hosted on White House grounds. In a video shared on Wednesday, FBI Director Kash Patel announced that the bureau had teamed up with the UFC to train approximately 300 federal agents in hand-to-hand combat, ahead of UFC Freedom 250.

Patel expressed appreciation for the partnership with the UFC, highlighting the impact on agent skills. “Thanks to the partnership with UFC, roughly 300 agents learned effective tactics to protect American lives,” he posted on X, alongside footage of the training sessions.

Footage from the session also featured UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje, who previously assisted in training FBI agents at the Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia. In the latest footage, Gaethje utilized FBI Headquarters as part of his preparations for an upcoming lightweight title bout against Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250.

President Donald Trump took an interest in the event, meeting with UFC fighters Ilia Topuria, Justin Gaethje, and Ciryl Gane in the Oval Office on May 6, 2026. Discussions revolved around the match slated for June 14 outside the White House. Fighters plan to use the Eisenhower Executive Office Building as locker rooms before heading to “The Claw,” the sizable Octagon set up on the South Lawn.

Adding to the excitement, thrill-seeker Travis Pastrana is planning a dramatic stunt to kick off the main card broadcast. A video shared by UFC President Dana White suggested Pastrana could perform a backflip on his dirt bike over the South Lawn.

Federal agents training with UFC fighters, a contender working out in FBI facilities, and a UFC event on White House grounds is now the hottest ticket of the weekend. What once seemed improbable has become reality.
