Israel and Iran exchanged long-range missile strikes following the ceasefire that started two months ago. The exchange raised concerns about the possibility of renewed fighting in the region. Both nations have now signaled willingness to halt further attacks.

The potential for escalation has prompted efforts from former President Donald Trump and regional mediators to secure a lasting peace agreement with Iran.

Reporter Ali Rogin provides detailed coverage on these developments. She is known for her work with PBS News Hour where she focuses on the Supreme Court and judicial affairs in the United States. Rogin’s achievements include a Peabody Award in 2021 for her reporting on the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also earned two Edward R. Murrow Awards and participated in Emmy-nominated projects, covering significant events such as the fall of ISIS in 2020 and the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017.
