A tragic event unfolded in Houston, Texas, when a carjacking resulted in the murder of a father named Louis Erebia. This incident occurred on a Saturday afternoon and involved a repeat offender on probation.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported that Louis Erebia, 56, attempted to retrieve his stolen vehicle and confronted the alleged thief, London Hogan Sr. Hogan is accused of fatally shooting Erebia, who later died at a local hospital.
Another individual was also shot in the incident, though they are expected to survive. The confrontation began when Erebia’s son was refueling their Chevy Silverado at a gas station. Hogan allegedly approached with a gun and stole the truck.
Erebia, with help from a friend, used GPS to locate the stolen vehicle. They eventually found it, but a collision occurred between their car and the stolen Chevy Silverado, disabling both vehicles. Deputies report that Erebia pursued two suspects, at which point Hogan allegedly fired multiple shots.

Hogan now faces multiple charges: murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

During a hearing on Monday, Hogan’s current charges were read in court. The judge reminded him he was on a five-year felony deferred adjudication for assault.
