“I was fearing for my life,” said Jheyco Borda, a Marine veteran, who recently faced a terrifying situation.
Surveillance footage captured Borda bravely confronting a group of teens, one of whom aimed a gun at him. The incident took place in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Borda managed to wrestle the teen to the ground following the gun being pointed at his face. Towards the end of the recording, a gunshot was audible.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Borda recounted how his day was interrupted while he was fixing his car. “I saw the teens coming by. One of them pointed a pistol at my head, demanding my car keys, phone, and all my valuables,” he explained.
“I just got prepared and adrenaline kicked in and some training,” Borda shared, crediting his Marine Corps background for helping him control the situation.
A total of six teens attacked Borda, including four males and two females. During the struggle, the firearm discharged, with the bullet piercing the back of his truck. Thankfully, no one sustained injuries.
Borda’s brother also intervened, confronting the attackers, which was documented in the video. Borda’s Marine training played a crucial role in preventing the theft of his truck and valuables.
Borda disclosed that this was not the first occurrence of crime in the vicinity. Two years prior, a similar crime took place right where his car was parked. “It was right where my car was as well,” he noted.
Police in Prince George’s County confirmed to Fox News Digital that two male teens have been apprehended. Authorities continue to investigate the involvement of the other four teens in the crime.
