The Pope expressed fears that AI could exacerbate inequality, undermine workers’ dignity, and even be used to automate warfare. These warnings have added to the existing global anxieties about the rapid advancements in AI technology.

Christopher Olah, co-founder of Anthropic, stood alongside the Pope during the unveiling at the Vatican, showcasing the significance of this message in the current technological and political climate.
