Brittany Mahomes gained a reputation for good-natured teasing during her husband Patrick Mahomes’ early NFL career. Despite some backlash, she continued her playful antics as the Kansas City Chiefs triumphed over various teams. On a recent Sunday night, she was back at it.
Brittany shared a series of photos showcasing her outfit while attending the Chiefs’ close victory over the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, ending in a 30-27 score. She quoted Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak’s confident prediction of a win for Las Vegas, writing, “‘We’re winning. We’re gonna win the game.'”
The Raiders seemed in control with a 13-10 lead at halftime. Kubiak assured CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson of their expected victory. Perhaps he overlooked Patrick Mahomes’ ability to turn games around.
Patrick Mahomes guided the Chiefs to three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, overcoming the Raiders by outscoring them 20-14 in the last period. With just 3:21 left, Mahomes connected with Tyquan Thornton for a 55-yard pass, setting up a touchdown by Kenneth Walker. Unfortunately, Thornton sustained an injury on his key play, yet the Chiefs pressed ahead.
On the next kickoff, the Raiders lost the ball, leading to another Walker touchdown. Though Las Vegas reduced the gap with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to Brock Bowers, Cousins’ critical interception sealed their fate. The Chiefs managed to run out the clock and claimed the victory.
With this win, Kansas City advanced to a 4-0 record while the Raiders dropped to 3-1. Patrick Mahomes reflected, “I think you have to stay with it. I keep saying it, but it’s not always going to be pretty. That’s a good football team, a good defense.”
After the game, both quarterbacks discussed the match on the field, acknowledging the competitive spirit of the encounter.
