WWE has announced a partnership with Bleacher Report, granting the latter global rights to WWE program highlights. This includes highlights from popular shows like “Monday Night Raw,” “Friday Night SmackDown,” and NXT, along with premium live events. Bleacher Report will also feature at some WWE premium live events.
According to WWE’s executive vice president Alex Varga, Bleacher Report sits at the intersection of sports and culture. This partnership reflects WWE’s commitment to reaching a global audience. Bleacher Report’s general manager, Bennett Spector, emphasized WWE fans’ passionate engagement, aligning with Bleacher Report’s mission to bring fans closer to the action and its rich history.
WWE continues to expand its global presence. The organization boasts substantial followings on various social media platforms, including over 102 million followers on Facebook, 40.1 million on TikTok, 35 million on Instagram, and 13 million on X. The deal arrives amid Warner Bros. Discovery’s separation of TNT Sports and Bleacher Report from its TV and film sectors.
Bleacher Report, part of Warner Bros. Discovery via TNT Sports, has previously hosted AEW pay-per-view events. AEW, a competitor of WWE, currently airs its shows on TNT, TBS, and HBO Max. Tony Khan, the owner of AEW, expressed satisfaction with the corporate changes under Warner Bros. Discovery and noted AEW’s growth and evolution in this dynamic landscape.
