Charlotte FC secured a 2-1 victory over D.C. United, benefiting from a controversial call that disallowed a late effort by Louis Munteanu. The match occurred on Saturday night.

D.C. United, featuring player Tai Baribo, faced Charlotte FC at Audi Field with hopes of making progress on their road to the playoffs. Despite their aim, the journey proved more challenging than initially presumed, as they have only managed two MLS victories since early May.
