Pro wrestling star Tessa Blanchard has signed with Major League Wrestling (MLW), strengthening the women’s division. Her arrival has sparked enthusiasm among fellow wrestlers and fans alike. Lady Frost, who became part of MLW earlier this year, shared her thoughts on Blanchard’s signing during an interview with OutKick Dropkick.

Frost expressed her excitement about the addition, calling it an “incredible signing” and acknowledged Blanchard’s renowned wrestling background. Frost remarked, “We understand the pedigree that comes with Tessa Blanchard and you’ve heard high tides raise all ships. I think everyone is just going to want to up their game even more.” Frost has shared the ring with Blanchard in past tours in Mexico, highlighting the positive impact Blanchard brings to the business.

MLW announced Blanchard would make her debut at Fightland, scheduled for September 12, in Charleston, South Carolina. Her current tenure with CMLL adds further acclaim to her signing. Blanchard noted, “Heavy is the crown, but legacy isn’t handed to you… it’s forged under pressure,” emphasizing her ongoing commitment to excellence. She further stated, “I’ve earned my place as one of the best in the world at what I do, but I’m not coming to MLW to rest on the Blanchard name.”

Blanchard carries a rich legacy, being a third-generation pro wrestler. She is the daughter of Tully Blanchard and the granddaughter of promoter Joe Blanchard. Additionally, her stepfather is Magnum T.A.

Lady Frost shared her perspective on the MLW women’s division without ranking it against others. Frost commented, “It is stacked. I don’t do rankings. That’s not my department. I do the fighting.” Frost emphasized that fans have the opportunity to engage with wrestling events, as attending a live show is affordable at $15, and available online for free. She remarked, “Fans have a lot to say about rankings and wrestling, and they really have no idea, but you can chime in.”

Frost is set to face Corinne Joy during MLW’s Kings of Colosseum event, available to viewers on YouTube, beIN Sports, and Veeps.
