Teen Crashes into New Hampshire Airport Perimeter During Police Chase

A teenager allegedly breached the security of Portsmouth International Airport in New Hampshire after crashing his vehicle into its perimeter fence. The incident took place on a Saturday evening around 8 p.m., according to the New Hampshire State Police (NHSP).

The suspect, identified as 17-year-old Wyatt Seely from Rochester, was reportedly fleeing police at the time of the crash. Authorities found him intoxicated after the accident.

The chase began as officials were looking for a vehicle linked to reported crimes in nearby areas. The pursuit involved Seely driving a black 2008 Ford Mustang without its lights on.

Police attempted to stop the Mustang on Durham Street in Portsmouth, but the driver fled. The vehicle then crashed through the airport’s perimeter fence and moved across an aircraft parking area. It collided with a small, stationary plane and a Kubota tractor before stopping, state police reported.

Seely was taken into custody by state troopers and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. No one else was injured during the incident.

The teenager is facing several charges, including misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated (DWI), aggravated DWI, disobedience to a police officer, and conduct after an accident. He was also charged with reckless driving. Seely’s court appearance is set for September 9, 2026, in Portsmouth District Court.

Local law enforcement agencies, including the Portsmouth Police and Fire Departments, the Newington Police Department, and Pease Fire and Emergency Services, provided assistance during the unfolding event.
