New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys Joint Practice Marred by Fights

On Tuesday, the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys held a joint practice that was disrupted by multiple altercations. Despite this, Saints head coach Kellen Moore appeared unfazed by the events.

Moore addressed the situation, stating, All the chippiness of it, not the ideal flow of a joint practice, but we got the work we need, according to ProFootballTalk.

On the other hand, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed his disappointment over the disruption. He noted that it impacted the amount of productive work completed during the practice.

Moore and Schottenheimer previously worked together as assistants in Dallas for one year in 2022. Discussing their past collaboration, Moore said, Schotty and I communicated, we know each other from working in the past, so we communicated, emphasizing the ongoing dialogue between them.

He continued, There’s a lot of rah-rah and emotion to football, and that’s part of it. At the end of the day it’s about executing and running football plays. There’s a lot of loud people on a football field but at the end of the day it’s about executing football plays. Take all the emotion out of it, watch it without all the rah-rah to it and we’ll get some good lessons.

The Saints are set to face the Cowboys in a preseason game on August 28. This upcoming matchup may provide a chance for both teams to channel their focus and improve on their practice session.
