Professional wrestler LaBron Kozone signed a multi-year contract with Major League Wrestling (MLW) in March. Praised as a promising and “generational” talent, Kozone is setting his sights on the upcoming “Fusion” event on Saturday. His goal is to seek retribution against Joe Coffey, who previously defeated the respected figure Teddy Long.

In a conversation with Fox News Digital, Kozone discussed his reasons for joining MLW. He highlighted the significance of choosing a platform that allows him to be most effective in the current wrestling landscape. “You look at the different promotions out there,” he explained. “MLW seemed like the best fit for me considering my commitments in pro wrestling.”

Kozone owns and operates the Firestar Pro Wrestling Training School and views his involvement with MLW as a chance to benefit his students. “It’s not only an opportunity for me,” he stated, “but also for many of my students who are already seeing opportunities come their way.” He also noted MLW’s rapid growth and accessibility, emphasizing the packed audiences at their shows.

MLW owner Court Bauer labeled Kozone as a “blue-chip and generational prospect”. While Kozone admitted uncertainty about the “blue chip” label, he agreed with the “generational” tag. “To be a generational talent means once in a lifetime,” he said. “I believe that I bring a unique impact to the wrestling world.”

Kozone has his eyes set on potential championships following his match against Coffey. His ambition to secure a title reflects his determination and focus as he progresses in his career.
