Chicago White Sox Claim Victory Over Cleveland Guardians

The Chicago White Sox achieved a 6-3 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on August 8, 2026, at Rate Field. Relief pitcher Grant Taylor played a crucial role by securing the win in the ninth inning.

During the ninth inning, Miguel Vargas, the White Sox third baseman, assisted by making a strategic throw to first base, leading to a ground out by the Guardians. Earlier, in the eighth inning, right fielder Braden Montgomery contributed by driving in a run with a single.

White Sox relief pitcher Bryan Hudson made an effort to pick off a runner at first base during the eighth inning.
