A comprehensive report released Tuesday has confirmed that a spark from an unused transmission tower was the cause of the 2025 Altadena wildfire. The tower is owned by Southern California Edison.

The fire resulted in widespread destruction across much of Altadena, California. Investigators had long suspected the tower at Eaton Canyon as the fire’s point of origin. The findings now provide clarity on this devastating event.
