Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson remains a significant figure in the WNBA. Known for both her impressive performances and outspoken nature, Wilson consistently delivers impactful quotes and outstanding on-court statistics. Recently named an All-Star for the eighth time, Wilson’s influence is undeniable.

Before the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago, Wilson appeared on ESPN to share her motivation at this point in her career. “My haters!” she exclaimed with a laugh. “I enjoy proving people wrong and being myself, even if it irritates some.” Wilson emphasized that while winning rings, banners, and trophies is rewarding, expressing authenticity is equally fulfilling. Wilson reached a milestone last month by becoming the fastest in WNBA history to score 6,000 career points. Currently, she averages 26.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 1.6 steals over 24 games, leading the league in scoring and blocks. The Aces hold an 18-8 record, ranking third in the standings, and they will continue their title defense against the Portland Fire on Tuesday, July 28.
