Donald Trump Jr. shared his thoughts on the evidence presented at the preliminary hearing of Tyler Robinson, the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s assassination. He commented that the evidence appeared more decisive than he anticipated. Surveillance footage and witness statements, he said, strongly supported the prosecution’s argument.
“Seeing this evidence in the courtroom and observing the defense’s response left no doubt about the case’s clarity,” Trump Jr. stated during an appearance on “America’s Newsroom.” He expressed confidence that Robinson would be convicted, describing the outcome as “very clear.”
The hearing for Robinson began on Monday and is expected to last the entire week. Prosecutors need to show probable cause for the judge to proceed with a trial on multiple charges, including aggravated murder, which could lead to the death penalty.
Robinson is accused of shooting Charlie Kirk, 31, at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on September 10 of last year. Trump Jr. attended the hearing to support Kirk’s family and to see the evidence personally.
“Being there was crucial,” Trump Jr. remarked about his presence at the courthouse. “Charlie Kirk’s impact on many, especially the youth, was substantial and needed recognition. Watching the facts presented was essential.”
