NFL players and other prominent figures joined the celebrations at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding at Madison Square Garden. Among the attendees were JuJu Smith-Schuster and Cooper Kupp, fresh from his Super Bowl victory.
Kareem Hunt, another familiar face from the Kansas City Chiefs, was seen in New York before the event. Kelce’s brother Jason, who won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles, was also expected to attend. San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle and other stars from various sports were present, as well as Jason Sudeikis, known for his role in “Ted Lasso.”
The wedding venue, Madison Square Garden, is the home court for the NBA’s New York Knicks and the NHL’s Rangers. Taylor Swift had previously watched a historic game at the Garden, witnessing the Knicks’ comeback win over San Antonio in the NBA Finals.
MSG has been the backdrop for numerous significant sports events since its opening in 1968. The Knicks claimed their first NBA title there in 1970, with Willis Reed famously returning from injury. In boxing history, Joe Frazier triumphed over Muhammad Ali in 1971 at the “Fight of the Century,” while Ali secured victory in their rematch three years later. The Rangers broke a 54-year championship drought by winning the Stanley Cup at MSG in 1994 against the Vancouver Canucks.
Travis Kelce, a key player for the Kansas City Chiefs, is a three-time Super Bowl champion and a regular All-Pro selection. His brother Jason Kelce was a significant contributor to the Eagles’ Super Bowl win in the 2017 season.
