A tragic incident occurred at a Home Depot parking lot on Badillo Street in Covina. On Tuesday evening, a man was shot and killed during a child custody exchange. This event took place at approximately 6:06 p.m. at 963 West Badillo Street.
According to the Covina Police Department, a large gathering was present for the custody transition. The situation escalated from a verbal disagreement between two men into a shooting. One of the men pulled out a firearm and shot the other.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and attempted to save the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The individual suspected of the shooting was apprehended by the police without any further incident. Authorities continue to investigate the situation.
