Taylor Swift’s Involvement in ‘Toy Story 5’ and Her Upcoming Projects

Taylor Swift is garnering attention for multiple reasons, including her recent marriage to Travis Kelce and her contribution to the soundtrack of “Toy Story 5.” Swift expressed her excitement about being part of the project on social media, mentioning her long-time affection for the series. She shared, “I’ve been a Toy Story kid from the age of 5 until now.”

Showing her enthusiasm, Swift attended the premiere of the film on June 9, bringing along her original VHS copy of the first “Toy Story” movie. Notably, she asked the film’s star, Tom Hanks, to autograph the VHS tape, a request he gladly accepted. During an interview with USA Today, Hanks joked, “I told her she should have brought in the VHS machine, because that could go into the Smithsonian Institute as well.”

In another conversation with Variety, Hanks stated that he was unaware Swift had a song featured in the film until just before the premiere. He explained, “They ushered us into a soundproof room and said, ‘Tonight, at 9 p.m., the true end titles song is going to drop and it’s by Taylor Swift.’ It was a surprise for us as well.”

Hanks compared the reveal to learning that Judy Garland would be singing “Over the Rainbow” in a film. This unexpected addition heightened anticipation for the movie.

“Toy Story 5” will be released in theaters on June 19. Fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival, as excitement builds around both the film and Swift’s musical contribution.
