Micah Parsons Readies for NFL Comeback After Injury

Pro Bowl linebacker Micah Parsons is preparing for his comeback in the upcoming NFL season. His previous stint with the Green Bay Packers ended prematurely due to a torn ACL suffered against the Denver Broncos. This injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season, including his team’s playoff game.

During the postseason, the Chicago Bears, led by Caleb Williams, secured another victory over the Packers. Parsons watched from the sidelines, unable to contribute to the game. As the new season approaches, the NFL unveils its latest top 100 players list. Parsons drew attention with his one-word response in a promotional teaser.

A video clip features NFL players naming their top player in the league. Parsons simply says, “Iceman,” referring to Williams’ nickname. He later explained that his response was taken out of context.

A longer video clip surfaced, showing Parsons praising Williams’ achievements. “I can’t lie. The celly and everything is super great, like I won’t even lie to you,” Parsons remarked. He noted that Williams improved by reducing sacks and gaining confidence in his system.

Parsons expressed goodwill, saying, “I always want to see people succeed, regardless of who they play for,” but added, “Just don’t want to see you succeed against me.” He humorously warned, “Where there’s ice, there’s also fire, and I’m the fire,” showcasing his competitive spirit in the Bears-Packers rivalry.

Chicago gained an advantage with an overtime win in the regular season and a playoff victory against Green Bay last season. Parsons missed both games due to injury. The Bears topped the NFC North with an 11-6 record, claiming the No. 2 seed in the conference, while Green Bay concluded with a 9-7-1 record.

Parsons played in the first meeting of the season between the two teams, a 28-21 win for Green Bay. He recorded one tackle, while teammate Kingsley Enagbare secured the game’s only sack on Williams. The Bears won the second regular-season game 22-16 in overtime, as Parsons was out due to injury.

Aiming to return by Week 5 or Week 6 of the new season, Parsons hopes to participate in one or both matchups during the 2026-27 campaign. His competitive nature and determination underline his readiness to return to the field.
