Senator Fetterman Criticizes Graham Platner Amid Scandal

Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania criticized Maine Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner over his recent scandal. Fetterman spoke to reporters in Washington, D.C., following reports that Platner had sent explicit messages to six women and had an active profile on Kik. Kik is an anonymous chat platform known for its lax identification, which has led to issues with child sexual abuse material.

Fetterman questioned Platner’s actions, suggesting, “What kind of a person uses a platform like Kik for years, sending these explicit messages?” He also noted Platner’s controversial use of the username “P-Hustle” on Reddit, where Platner had made questionable comments regarding sexual assault and other matters.

The senator also pointed to a past controversy involving Platner’s tattoo, which some have claimed resembles a Nazi symbol. Fetterman commented, “Growing up, if someone had such a tattoo, you’d consider them a Nazi sympathizer. Are we defending this?”

Despite his criticism, Fetterman did not endorse Platner’s opponent, Republican Senator Susan Collins from Maine, stating, “We’ll have to work together if Platner wins the election.” He also criticized fellow Democrats for not denouncing Platner’s actions. The controversy surrounding Platner continues to create tension within political circles.

Fox News attempted to reach Platner’s campaign for comment. Meanwhile, Fetterman noted other Democrats’ reluctance to speak against Platner, comparing it to previous incidents involving figures like Eric Swalwell.
