He still has a huge presence, Brown said. The job that he’s done, not only on the court but off it too, is going to be imprinted for as long as the game of basketball exists.

Popovich’s involvement extends beyond the court. When the Spurs returned from their series against Minnesota, he was there at the airport to address Wembanyama after an on-court incident. The interaction underscored Popovich’s commitment to player development.

Popovich’s legacy includes five NBA championships with the Spurs. As the team moves forward under coach Mitch Johnson, echoes of Popovich’s past successes remain. Johnson acknowledged the guidance he receives from his predecessor:
